My Visit to Spielbank Bad Steben
Tucked away in the middle of Germany is a hidden jewel of casino. Spielbank Bad Steben is a small casino the Hof District of the Bavarian area. “Bad” in German translates to “spa” – for one of the many natural spas in the area. “Spielbank” translates to “casino”. The casino is a few miles off the autobahn so there’s gonna be a short drive through the country. The roads wind up and down through the German countryside – go there in the daylight hours so you can see the road clearly. I had time for a quick visit in 2024.
The outside of the casino is not as flashy and lit as the Las Vegas casinos Americans are used to, but it does have a distinctive architecture. The parking areas are well lit. First time going in I didn’t have a passport so I had to leave and return. Only with a passport are foreigners admitted into the casino. They have plenty of slot machines, mostly new. You are given a player’s card that hold your credits when you are finished playing a game (a free souvenir). The machines and employees there can speak English, and during my short trip, foreigners seemed to be welcome.
Thanks for your post on the travel industry. I might also like to add that if your senior considering traveling, its absolutely crucial to buy travel cover for senior citizens. When traveling, golden-agers are at high risk being in need of a professional medical emergency. Obtaining right insurance policy package for the age group can look after your health and give you peace of mind.
Thanks for your input on the subject. Travel insurance is a consideration I will put this out there for our readers. Thanks again.
